Peter Marajin 4:29pm Feb 27

using untreated water.

Suspicion of cases of cholera at the seaside kampung started a week ago when signs of it were detected by the district hospital.
FMT learned that the  villagers in Pantai Mas were furious because the outbreak partly stemmed from lack of supply of treated water. Most of them still used untreated water from traditional wells as well as deep-bored holes .
A man who only wanted to be known as Sabli told FMT that the kampung has been waiting for water supply for ages and that pipes actually had already been laid in the kampung areas for quite some time but that there is no water until now.

Discrimination against Sabah by the federal government
in order to develop Malaya is a tragedy and worthy of
national attention, says a lawyer.
KOTA BELUD: Peter Marajin, the man under fire from irate Kota Belud MP Abdul Rahman Dahlan for criticising him, stands by his claim that the MP is all talk and no action.
Speaking a day after Rahman hit out at him for negatively assessing his performance, Marajin reiterated that the MP had not done much in his constituency.
“He does not care about the padi fields in Mukim Kelawat but he keeps on telling people the district is Sabah’s “rice bowl” or “jelapang padi”.
“He didn’t even answer my contention that there are hundreds of acres of padi fields in Kelawat which are neglected as they are dependent on rain. His Umno-led Barisan Nasional has not provided proper irrigation for the area.

MP Kota Belud diminta lawat kawasan

Sejak kebelakangan ini Rahman Dahlan
lebih gemar bercakap isu ekonomi
negara, pentadbiran persekutuan dan
kedaulatan bangsa lain sedangkan
kawasannya terbiar.

“Kerajaan sering mendabik dada kononnya Kota Belud adalah jelapang padi negeri Sabah tetapi ratusan ekar sawah padi di Mukim Kelawat tidak ditanami padi. Mana pergi Rahman?
“Pernahkah Rahman prihatin dan melawat para petani sawah di Kelawat?,” tanya Marajin ketika melawat kawasan itu hujung minggu lalu.

Muhyiddin's election promises in Kadamaian an insult, says SAPP man

By Ezra Haganez
KOTA BELUD : Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) said the recent pledge made by DPM Muhyiddin Yassin to asphalt six important rural roads in the Kadamaian state constituency next year is an insult to the people's intelligence.

SAPP's Kota Belud CLC vice head, Peter Marajin said the Kadamaian folks were not amused when Muhyiddin further revealed that he had instructed Minister of Rural Development and Regional, Shafei Apdal, to bring forward the fund for the purpose from 2014 to next year.

Victims of land-grabs pin hope in a lawyer

Sangkong (centre) flanked native vice chief Mudat Majupi (left)
and Ketua Kampung, Mogak Majupi explaining their predicament.

KOTA KINABALU : Families who were served with court notice late last year to move out in one month of "their" lands in Kampung Tangkarason, Beluran now pin their hope that the plantation company involved and the court would "grant" some mercy on them, knowing there is no where to go after this.

Leader of the group, Nulius Sangkong, 34, who managed to get court order for a stay said they never dreamed that this could happen to them as natives of Sabah after toiling the lands and living there since 1980s.

We will go to international court, says STAR

KOTA BELUD : The State Reform Party (STAR) said if it forms or leads the next state government, it would consider taking matters to court, including international courts, if then Federal Government continued to trample on the 1963 pledges and the Malaysia Agreement.

Deputy chairman of the Sabah chapter of STAR, Daniel John Jambun, said it is pertinent that the next state government subscribed to the Borneo Agenda if Sabah is to be saved from further destruction by unfavourable policies by Federal power against it.

Pairin forgets KDMs suffered much under Musa's tenure

By Peter Marajin
KOTA BELUD : The glowing tribute by PBS president, Joseph Pairin Kitingan, to current Chief Minister Musa Aman does not go down well with Sabahans at large, especially the Kadazandusun community who more often than not, marginalised by Musa's UMNO-led government. Either Pairin must have forgotten, or he is just too detached from the reality.

Villagers threaten to rise up against govt

Sabah villagers in Tempasuk fear they will be displaced
to make way for an agropolitan project.
By Luke Rintod of FMT
KOTA BELUD: Dusun villagers in Tempasuk near here threaten to rise up against the government to stop any attempts to evict them for a development project.

They remain apprehensive over what they see as a land-grab and their displacement for a purported agropolitan development project just a few months after a near showdown with the authorities.

Kampungs Bungaliu and Bubuk are the target areas for the project and recent visits by “official” groups complete with police escorts have stirred anxieties again.

SAPP wants clarification on special fund to MPs and ADUNs

KOTA BELUD : Starting last year the Federal Government allocated a special fund called "touch point" or "sentuhan kasih" of a slightly more than RM1 million for each of the Barisan Nasional MP, including those in Sabah.

This fund according the record went straight into the bank accounts of these MPs and it was entirely up to them to spend it as long as it is helping the people including in their emergency needs like during flooding or to help the poor replace the broken rooftop of their houses.

Pairin's silence on NCR is moral abhorance to KDMs

By Peter Marajin
KOTA KINABALU : In respond to Johnny Mositun's statement over the above issue, i would say that Joseph Pairin Kitingan just cannot hide behind the cultural nature of KDCA and use this as an excuse to remain mute in the wake of the onslaught on KDM's native customary lands.

Pairin cannot completely detach himself from this issue given his position as the Deputy Chief Minister of the very government which bent on destroying the NCR of the KDMs whose native ethnic he himself belong to.

Pairin cannot turn a blind eye on the fact that being a President of KDCA he has a moral duty to protect and safeguard the rights of his people from being unjustly treated in their very own land.

KDCA slammed for failing to respond to State AG's attack on NCR land

By Peter Marajin
KOTA KINABALU : The Kadazandusun Cultural Association (KDCA) being the custodian of the KDM's rights which include their native lands and the KDM's are all natives, KDCA should be in the forefront in defending these rights. But alas, KDCA is silent.

This could be construed to mean that KDCA and its president Joseph Pairin Kitingan, who is the Huguan Siou of the KDMs, are condoning this barbaric land grabs of the KDM's native customary lands, now this devilish pronouncment of non-existence of NCR lands after 1930 by the highest legal mind of the Government of which Pairin is a party.

Press Statement by Mr Peter Marajin on Mositun and Pairin statements

KOTA BELUD : Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) and all other BN party components from Sabah should be ashamed of themselves because they have failed to convince the UMNO-led Federal Government to set up a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on illegal immigrants and fake MyKads in Sabah.

Easy to cancel Tambatuon Dam, just cancel BN, says lawyer

By Ezra Haganez
KOTA BELUD : Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) said the only way to cancel the proposed Tambatuon Dam over Kadamaian River here is to vote out its own proposer, the Barisan Nasional (BN) government!

SAPP supreme council member, Peter Marajin, a lawyer who hails from Kadamaian, gave this advise to the Tambatuon folks over their disappointment with their own village head Amin Goling and the Kota Belud MP, Rahman Dahlan which continued to promote the dam.

SAPP bukanlah sebuah parti Cina

Oleh Peter Marajin
Isu No. 3: "Kdm (Dan Bumiputra Muslim)
Tidak Dapat Menyokong Sapp Sebab S
APP Adalah Sebuah Parti Cina"

Komen saya:

Pertama, SAPP bukanlah sebuah parti Cina.

Pic shows Antonis (second from right) listening to
lawyer Marajin who in this pic seen taking notes of
his complain in Pandasan yesterday.
KOTA BELUD: A local community leader from Pandasan, Kota Belud, alleged he was harassed and pressured by five government officials at the district office for his inquiring into the proposed Federal-funded agropolitan project earmarked to make Kota Belud a main food producer.
