Give Proof of Killing of 35 Gunment - Jeffrey

KOTA KINABALU: STAR has challenged caretaker Defence Minister, Datuk Seri Dr. Zahid Hamidi to give proof that 35 terrorists have been killed by the Philippines security forces in Sibutu Island on nomination day.

STAR's State chairman, Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan said in a statement here that the denial by the Philippines that such a thing ever happened raises a lot of doubts in the minds of Malaysian people about the veracity of Zahid's claim.

"He seems to be quoting only Malaysian sources there is no corroborating evidence from any outside sources," Jeffrey said.

Sulu incursion: Hiding from the truth

KOTA KINABALU: As the dust settles on the incursion by a group of armed men from the southern Philippines, the question of who will take responsibility remains hanging. Most politicians in the government have resigned themselves to watching from the sidelines.

Foreign Minister Anifah Aman, the younger brother of Sabah Chief Minister Musa Aman, appears to be passively muddling through the crisis.

THE 1968 Programme Book for the Coronation of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Muizzaddin Waddaulah as the 29th Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, had two interesting documents inserted inside. The documents were reproduction of two treaties taken from microfilm kept at the Public Record Office in London.


‘Agbimuddin will be extradited’

LAHAD DATU: Malaysia will push for Agbimuddin Kiram, a former Sabah assistant district officer who led the Sulu invasion to allegedly reclaim Sabah, to be extradited from the Philippines.
Agbimuddin is believed to have escaped the tight security dragnet and returned to the Philippines.
Speaking to reporters here yesterday, Sabah police chief Hamza Taib said Malaysia was confident of bring Agbimuddin back to face charges “even if he is there (in the Philippines)”.
“Even if he is there, we won’t face a problem because we have undertaken an investigation under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 against those under detention.
