Shafie’s wooing Yong back into BN

In a bid to unseat Musa Aman, Umno vice-president Shafie Apdal
is allegedly brokering deals with SAPP's Yong Teck Lee.
Umno vice-president Shafie Apdal is allegedly masterminding the return of former Sabah chief minister Yong Teck Lee into the Barisan Nasional and claiming he has the tacit approval of party president Najib Tun Razak to negotiate the return.
This is despite the fact that Sabah BN components distrust Yong, who is Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) president.
Yong, Shafie and Joseph Ambrose Lee were partners in crime at one time. They allegedly took over the RM30-billion timber wealth of Yayasan Sabah through a share-swap. The “swap” had allegedly taken place when Yong was chief minister and Shafie a directer in Yayasan Sabah.

Hot money trail from Sabah to Swiss banks

By Luke Rintod of FMT
KOTA KINABALU: Fear and euphoria reign in Umno Sabah over renewed allegations of money-laundering by Sabah Chief Minister Musa Aman. The trail is said to lead from the forests of Sabah to the bank vaults in Hong Kong and on to Switzerland.

Politicians on both sides of the political divide are either rubbing their hands in anticipation or getting ready to edge away from potential trouble that has been floating in the online media for years but has gained new life with further revelations by news portal Sarawak Report (SR).

Was Salleh voicing Musa’s concern?

By Luke Rintod of FMT
Umno Sabah chief Musa Aman is relying on his deputy
Salleh Keruak's strategy to contain rival Shafie Apdal.
Last weekend in Kota Belud, the so-called birth-place of Umno in Sabah, the party’s state deputy president Salleh Said Keruak gave a stinging reminder to possible party-detractors.

He said those who were contemplating ditching Umno if they are not re-nominated in the coming general election, would be ‘ignored’.

Salleh, who is a local boy, issued this warning during a special meeting with a group of Umno’s Kadazandusun leaders from Kadamaian.

Kenapa ‘Petualang Sabah’ Diberi Anugerah?

Saudara Pengarang,
SURAT terbuka ini saya tujukan kepada Ketua Menteri Sabah, Datuk Seri Musa Haji Aman, bagi pihak Kerajaan Negeri Sabah yang telah menganugerahkan pingat Tertinggi Kebesaran Negeri Sabah, ‘S.P.D.K’ yang membawa Gelaran ‘Datuk Seri Panglima’ kepada dua orang ‘Petualang’ di Sabah iaitu Datuk Seri Panglima Hishamuddin Tun Hussien dan Datuk Seri Panglima Mohd Shafie Apdal.

Musa keeps Rosmah happy and Shafie out

Chief Minister Musa Aman's extensive reach in
Sabah makes him an almost invincible opponent
to allies and enemies alike.
LAHAD DATU: Musa Aman has ultimate control over the state’s economy, security and soil. He is Chief Minister, Finance Minister and Sabah Umno chairman.

It is a concentration of power, without oversight and unprecedented, in a state government. It was unheard of prior to the Umno-led Barisan Nasional’ s takeover of the state administration.

Rosmah factor in Sabah Umno

In Sabah Umno, Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak's wife Rosmah Mansor,
strangely enough, seems to be an important factor in the battle between
party vice-president Shafie Apdal and Chief Minister Musa Aman.
TAWAU: Umno president Najib Tun Razak is a worried man and much afraid of his own shadow and, if rumours are to be believed, his wife’s clout within the party.

Within Umno there are three groups of “intelligentsia” – two official and one unofficial. Each group has been turning out their own reports.

But of interest to Sabah is the group which believes that in order for Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN) to become a “better and reformed” party, it should be “dethroned” first.

“A dethroned Umno and BN can make a stronger comeback in the 14th general election… There will be better unity and appreciation of each other,” said a veteran Umno insider.

The knives are out in Sabah Umno

The simmering rift between state Umno chief Musa Aman and party
vice-president Shafie Apdal looks set to become openly hostile.
KOTA KINABALU: As happens periodically, the Chief Minister’s post, who gets what, and who is sabotaging whom, is taking on the mood of a pre-election campaign within Sabah Umno.

At least two factions within the party are sorting themselves out on which side they stand – Chief Minister Musa Aman’s or Umno vice president Shafie Apdal’s.
