Don't Stop At Manggatal - STAR

Jalibin Paidi, STAR Sabah Information Chief
Kota Kinabalu: "The proposal of DSP Masidi to revert the name of Menggatal to its original Manggatal is appropriate in terms of history and local characteristics of Sabah and ought to be fully supported” said Jalibin Paidi, STAR Sabah Information Chief, who was also an opposing candidate to Masidi in DUN Karanaan in the last elections.

Jalibin also said that Datuk Abidin Madingkir, the Mayor of Kota Kinabalu also ought to be commended for taking the appropriate action to consider Masidi’s proposal.

Hiew Ignorant of Sabah Rights - STAR

KOTA KINABALU: DAP's Member of Parliament, Hiew King Chew, fails to see the reality of Sabah's dire needs within the federation because he is a member of a Malayan-based party, says State Reform Party (STAR).

STAR Sabah's Information Chief Edward Linggu said this in a statement in response to Hiew who had told voters not to waste votes on STAR and SAPP yesterday. He claimed that  a STAR or SAPP state government wouldn't be able to function because it will be an opposition state even if PR took over Putrajaya, just like PBS government was after it was the state opposition government.

STAR: Borneo Agenda About Sabah Rights Not Anti-Malaya

STAR's Sabah Information Chief, Edward Linggu
“Sabah and Sarawak are equal partners with Malaya and not the 12th and 13th States and the Borneo Agenda is about the rights of Sabah and Sarawak and is not anti-Malaya or parochial” said Edward Linggu, STAR Sabah Information Chief, in response to Datuk Seri Panglima Wilfred Bumburing’s statement reported in the local media.

The Malaya Agenda is about the internal control and colonization of Sabah and the siphoning of Sabah’s rich resources, oil and gas and revenue.   The Borneo Agenda advocated by STAR is about the seeking and restoring Sabah’s rights and autonomy and to manage its own rich resources.  Treating Sabah as a colony and “fixed deposit” and taking 95% of Sabah’s oil revenue and 100% of its federal revenue is no longer acceptable.
