Are Najib & Rosmah GOING TOO FAR in their sodomy vendetta against Anwar?

Written by Iskandar Dzulkarnain
Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim’s Sodomy Case appeal is coming up for hearing on Oct28th. With the Federal Court dismissing Anwar Ibrahim's final application to disqualify Shafee Abdullah as deputy public prosecutor, it is highly likely that Anwar will not escape incarceration.

Earlier, a three-member Court of Appeal bench sentenced Anwar to five years' jail, but granted him a stay on the sentence pending his appeal to the Federal Court.

UKM students greet Najib's wife Rosmah with sarcastic placards

BANGI :  group of university students today greeted the prime minister's wife on a visit to their campus with placards mocking her much-talked about controversies.

Some 50 students from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia's Islamic Study Circle (ISIUKM) gathered outside the Tun Abdul Razak hall where Rosmah Mansor was the guest of honour for a programme involving students.

Rosmah's presence at the programme had generated protests from students who cited her alleged penchant for extravagance and involvement in wrongdoings.

Dirtiest election to come: Sex scandals will entertain Malaysians

Controversial businessman Deepak Jaikishan has turned the heat on Prime Minister Najib Razak. Stripping off the gloves, the 40-year-old former confidante of Najib's wife Rosmah Mansor has just unleashed a fresh barrage of allegations that could submerge the political fortunes of the Malaysian PM and his Umno party.

Flora Ong is now the name on the lips of many followers of the Altantuya Shaaribuu-Scorpene submarines saga, even though she is not directly linked to the murder and corruption case that Deepak has accused the first couple of having a hand in.

Indian capacity to ‘create trouble’ endless

By Joe Fernandez
Carpet dealer Deepak Jaikishan has now let on that Rosmah Mansor, the wife of Bugis-origin Prime Minister Mohd Najib Abdul Razak told him once that “90 per cent of all problems in Malaysia are created by ten per cent of the Indian community”. Call it either super efficient utilization of human resources or not enough trouble being created.

The last time we heard any such thing, it was Adolf Hitler blaming the Jews in Nazi Germany, “for creating trouble”, before sending the scapegoats to the gas chambers.

Which will it be: Najib or Umno?

Dissatisfied Umno members believe Najib Tun Razak and
Rosmah Mansor are the party's "main liabilities"
that threaten the future of Umno.
The recent 66th Umno general assembly sent out clear signs of increasing dissatisfaction among delegates with Najib Tun Razak’s leadership and that a decision must be made before the 13th general election.
Since Najib took over from Abdullah Ahmad Badawi as PM in early 2009, the former’s leadership has been directionless. He has been inconsistent and indecisive with his policies.
Though Najib is not as weak as his predecessor, he has nothing better to offer – no good leadership traits and no political and economic models on nation-building.
Umno members, from top to bottom, are very concerned about the party’s future.

PETALING JAYA: Pembaca berita Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) Farid Ismeth Emir menafikan mempunyai sebarang hubungan dengan isteri Perdana Menteri Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor.

Does Rosmah deserve the Curtin award?

It must be sad for the prime minister's wife, Rosmah Mansor, that for receiving an honorary doctorate from a foreign university, she got so much flak. The university that awarded it, Curtin University of Western Australia, was hit with brickbats too, judging by the strongly-worded postings on its Facebook page after the award was announced. Curtin was probably astonished by the reception.

As one commentor wrote:"Curtin dear, you didn't anticipate these at all, did you?"

Rosmah factor in Sabah Umno

In Sabah Umno, Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak's wife Rosmah Mansor,
strangely enough, seems to be an important factor in the battle between
party vice-president Shafie Apdal and Chief Minister Musa Aman.
TAWAU: Umno president Najib Tun Razak is a worried man and much afraid of his own shadow and, if rumours are to be believed, his wife’s clout within the party.

Within Umno there are three groups of “intelligentsia” – two official and one unofficial. Each group has been turning out their own reports.

But of interest to Sabah is the group which believes that in order for Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN) to become a “better and reformed” party, it should be “dethroned” first.

“A dethroned Umno and BN can make a stronger comeback in the 14th general election… There will be better unity and appreciation of each other,” said a veteran Umno insider.

Rosmah's son-in-law quits amid probe into his bogus degrees . WHAT A CHEAT !

The principal of a Malaysian-based college with links to the University of Wales has resigned amid a probe into his bogus qualifications.

Executive director of Fazley International College (FIC) in Kuala Lumpur , Fazley Yaakob – a pop star in Malaysia – stood aside and apologised for “embarrassment” the university had suffered, after he drew attention to allegations over his credentials.

The university suspended its links to the college – one of three Malaysian institutions with links to the Welsh body – after a BBC investigation revealed Mr Yaakob claimed to have a masters and a doctorate in business administration, but both came from a bogus university.

In his letter to the institution, Mr Yaakob wrote: “Though I hold a director’s position, I have never been a part of the academic team nor have I sat at any of the academic meetings.

“As such you can be assured that at no stage was the academic standards or the reputation of the university put at a compromise.

“Upon further reflection, I consider that to continue as a director could be damaging to the college, its student community and the dedicated staff who have worked hard to uphold the academic standards and integrity.”

Mr Yaakob – who has had four hit albums in Malaysia – said that he had decided to resign as it was clear that the controversy was “undermining the reputation and good relations between the college and university,” but that he would continue to fight to clear his name.

What award does Rosmah Mansor deserve from Sarawakians?

By Rosita Maja
Prime Minister Najib Razak’s wife Rosmah Mansor spearheaded a ‘First Ladies Summit’ in Malaysia on the theme “A Child Today, a Leader Tomorrow”. Rosmah’s soiree for the ladies cost RM24 million.
The ‘summit’ lasted for three days. It drew a poor attendance: a total of only fifteen ‘first ladies’, mostly from African nations, attended the inaugural ‘First Ladies Summit’.
The issue of this ‘summit’ has been brought up by Zuraida Kamaruddin, Member of Parliament for Ampang, for debate in Parliament, highlighting the extravagant sum of RM24 million spent on the confab and its surrounding publicity.

What was the ‘summit’ for, and how much did it benefit the people on the ground?
Hajah Zuraida Kamaruddin: Dalam bajet tambahan ini, Yang Berhormat Titiwangsa, sebanyak RM24 juta. Jadi saya tidak tahulah apa program ini. Whether it is a ball night or what, I do not know. What is a program all about, dengan izin.
(Hornbill Unleashed translation: “In this supplementary budget, the Honourable Member for Titiwangsa, the sum of RM24 million (was spent). I have no idea what this programme is. Whether it is a ball night or what, I do not know. What is the programme about?”
