By Thomas Pi
LAHAD DATU: Salomah Hamad, 30, is the heartbroken mother of  7-year-old Haikal who was slain by his father last week inside the living room of an unnumbered wooden house belonging to her adopted parents in Kampong Ipil.

During an interview, Salomah, holding a small photo of her son taken when he was aged two, said her 35-year-old husband was a drug addict. She believes that syabu caused him to lose his mind to the extent of slitting the throat of their only son and then allegedly drinking his blood.

“Syabu killed my son … my only son!” she cried.

Pemimpin Suluk dakwa wakil PKR pendatang Indonesia

‘Over 60,000 dubious voters in Sabah’

KUALA LUMPUR: The Sabah electoral roll has 60,673 or 6.3% potentially dubious voters, the DAP said today.
Ong Kian Ming, director of the party’s Malaysian Electoral Roll Analysis Project (Merap), said they arrived at this figure from the proceedings of the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) probing the issuance of identity cards (IC) to illegal immigrants in Sabah.
“Ruslan Alias, an assistant head in the IC division of Sabah/Sarawak in the National Registration Department [NRD], revealed a list containing 130,459 ‘problematic’ old IC numbers where their records with the NRD were either incomplete or where these cards had been cancelled,” Ong told a press conference at the party’s headquarters here.

800,000 Filipinos may be sent home

Those who became Malaysian citizens under
Project IC will be the most affected.
MANILA: The majority, if not all, of the 800,000 Filipinos based in Sabah may be sent back to the Philippines on the premise that they had acquired their Malaysian citizenship illegally over the past 20 years under a controversial systematic granting of citizenship to foreigners dubbed Project IC (identity cards).
Project IC, which is blamed on former Malaysian prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohammad, was said to be among the factors that led followers of Sultan Jamalul Kiram III to “invade” Sabah in February. Most of the Filipinos who benefited from the project in the past are Tausugs from the nearby islands of Sulu and Tawi-Tawi.

Welcome to the Philippines 81st province

People should be able to place their trust in the prime minister to head the elected government; some prime ministers achieve greatness, others are best forgotten. Many are mediocre, others gain international acclaim.
The future of one Malaysian prime minister might well lie in a cell. His crime? When he was in power, he did not act in the interests of the country, but was consumed by a passion to further his own political interests. He was prepared to sell his country to foreign nationals.
Last week, former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad admitted in a press conference that he had authorised the provision of ICs to Filipinos. The Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on Sabah revealed that between 1970 and 1984, around 73,000 Filipino refugees had been allowed to settle permanently in Sabah. Pundits claim that today, there may be around 1.75 million Filipinos.

Mahathir behind Project IC, says Anwar

The opposition leader points his fingers at former
prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamed instead.
PETALING JAYA: Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim today reiterated his stance that he had nothing to do with the citizenship-for-votes granted to Sabah immigrants in the 1990s.
Instead, he accused former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad of being responsible for the task force allegedly responsible for the citizenships granted to the immigrants.
He also claimed that the exercise was ongoing and suggested that the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) haul up Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak and former premier Abdullah Ahmad Badawi as well.

Sabah RCI: NRD man got RM1.0m for letting immigrants vote

He says he had been waiting for his turn
which might finally come today (Thursday)
By Luke Rintod of FMT
KOTA KINABALU: The foremost advocate for Sabah state autonomy, Jeffrey Kitingan, who helped expose “Project IC” in Sabah, is expected to be called in by the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on illegal immigrants in Sabah from tomorrow.
He has been on standby since Monday after the RCI notified him he probably would be called at this second session and possibly at another session after the Chinese New Year.
When contacted by FMT here today, Jeffrey said he had been waiting for his turn which might finally come tomorrow (Thursday).
It is understood the RCI is expected to give at least 24-hour notice to witnesses to appear before it.

Some Malay Groups Have 52% Chinese DNA

Dear Editors,

The news reports on the RCI findings have prompted me to do a bit of reading on the "Malays" and I found 2 articles which are very interesting.

One is a recent article called "Pendatang" by Syed Imran former Bernama reporter and the other a scientific study on the genetics of "Malays".

Syed Imran's beef is that "Malaysians" are 97 squatters- so what is the big deal about "pendatangs"?

Unfortunately UMNO and Perkasa think tankers are a bit thicker than others and have not accepted this conclusion (common knowledge for a long time). Or may be they are following the Nazis who dishonestly made up reasons to justify their pogroms against Jews and "sub-human" race.

‘Tell RCI the truth, Anwar’

Sabah Umno liaison deputy chief Salleh Said Keruak
challenges Anwar to shed some light on the illegal
immigrants issue in Sabah.
KOTA BELUD: Sabah Umno liaison deputy chief Salleh Said Keruak has challenged opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim to tell the truth about the illegal immigrants to the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) tasked with looking into the long-standing problem in the state.
He said that Anwar was duty-bound to do so as he was deputy prime minister at that particular period, adding that “he was a powerful man and knew what was going on in Sabah”.
“Don’t be a hypocrite, perharps with the inside knowledge, Anwar can help shed some light… so tell the truth to RCI. He must not play politics. At least Najib Tun Razak, our Prime Minister, is prepared to seek the truth and approved the formation of RCI to identify the roots of the problem.

Govt had records of illegals in Sabah

Former Sabah Chief Minister Harris Salleh who denied
knowledge of Project IC added that "even if the
identity cards were given out speedily, it was
done according to the federal constitution."
KOTA KINABALU: The Royal Commissison of Inquiry (RCI) to investigate the problem of illegal immigrants in Sabah was told that 446,173 refugees and illegal immigrants were deported from 1990 to date.
Sabah and Labuan Federal Special Task Force Team director Suhaimi Mohd Salleh said those deported had no documents.
Asked how he came up with the number by RCI chairman, ex-chief judge of Sabah and Sarawak Steve Shim Lip Kiong, Suhaimi said there were records.
The fifth witness, who joined the Special Task Force on Jan 15, 2012, also said the team, which was set up on April 4, 1989, also managed and tackled problems of illegal immigrants in Sabah.

We gave Muslim foreigners IDs to vote

Sabah NRD director tells the RCI that he was
personally instructed by Megat Junid Megat
Ayub to recruit new voters.
KOTA KINABALU: A former National Registration Department (NRD) officer told an inquiry here that he took part in a project to give foreigners here identity cards so that they could vote in an election in the 1990s.
Mohd Nasir Sugip, who was detained under the now repealed Internal Security Act (ISA), told the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) he was part of a top secret operation dubbed ‘Ops Durian Buruk’ (Operation Rotten Durian) on the instruction of his bosses in the department.
He claimed the operation ran from 1992 to 1995 and said the instruction to furnish the foreigners with identity cards so that they could vote came from the state Election Commission (EC).

Malaya Federation masquarading as Malaysia Federation ?

Malaysia has an unwritten Constitution based on the Batu Sumpah and other constitutional documents like the written Constitution of Malaya, Malaysia Agreement, the Malaysia Bill, the Inter Governmental Committee Report, the Cobbold Commission Report, the 20/18 Points, Adat, the UN's Informal Survey on Malaysia, the Sabah and Sarawak Constitutions, the Dent/Overbeck Agreements with the Sultans of Brunei and Sulu, the Madrid Protocol of 1885, the Singapore/Malaya Merger through Malaysia proposal, the various British Committees which studied the formation of Malaysia etc etc long before Tunku Abdul Rahman announced it in May 1961 at a meeting with the Foreign Correspondents Association in Singapore.

On Sabah’s ‘racism’

Erna Mahyuni,
The Malaysian Insider
There are areas in Kota Kinabalu that are “black areas” controlled by illegals, where locals fear to tread. Even our local law enforcement is forced to turn a blind eye. Some due to lack of manpower, some because they’re paid off by the illegals. Many Sabahans are afraid of illegals. They have good cause to be. My neighbourhood doctor was killed with parangs by Indonesians. Two-thirds of the women I know, including myself, have been molested by illegals.
“So it strikes me to ask, is Sabah as racism-free as it seems?” That’s what a LoyarBurok columnist asked, after a (brief) visit to Sabah and noting the distaste many locals have towards illegal immigrants.
The first problem I have is with the notion of Sabah being “racism-free.” No place in the world is free from racism, unless said place is filled with people of the same race. Even then, we human beings will find other reasons to oppress our fellows. Because we can.

Migrants, church may end BN’s Borneo vote bank

KOTA KINABALU: Housewife Fawziah Abdul wants to thank former Malaysian Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohammad for making her a citizen 10 years after she illegally slipped into Borneo from the southern Philippines in search of a better life.

The 50-year-old lives on the outskirts of Kota Kinabalu, the capital of Malaysia’s Sabah state, where her tin-roofed shack jostles for space with more than 1,000 others in a slum where children play beside heaps of rubbish.

She is hopeful that her three children will get a new home and identity cards if she votes for the government again.

Does Nazri want to turn Sabah into a Filindo state?

By Daniel John Jambun
Daniel John Jambun
Daniel John JambunThe comment by Datuk Nazri Aziz that the immigrants in Sabah are under control and are not a threat to the state is another proof that the Federal Government is not interested to solve this mother of all problem. What is painful about this comment is that we can smell a dirty rat, a mala fide (bad intention) and the underlying reality that the Federal Government is actually supporting the presence of illegal immigrants in Sabah as part of some sinister plan to continue changing the demography of the state.

What he said was outrageous and unacceptable and should have been condemned by everyone and every party, including the leaders and parties of the Barisan Nasional. Unfortunately only PBS, through its Secretary General, Datuk Henrynus Amin was daring enough to protest, saying Nazri “was politically insensitive to grassroots sentiment in Sabah, especially their fears and concern for the future wellbeing posed by the huge presence of illegal immigrants” and that the statement fuelled “speculations in the streets as the genuine commitment of the Barisan Nasional Government to resolve the perennial problem of illegal immigrants in the state.” He demanded that the minister clarify and correct his statement. The response is still total silence.

Najib finally announces terms and reference for RCI on illegal immigrants in Sabah

KOTA KINABALU, Aug 11 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in announcing the details and terms of reference on the setting up of the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on Illegal Immigrants in Sabah here Saturday, said it would be given six months to complete its investigation on the influx of illegal immigrants in Sabah.

He said the six months period would begin from the date the instrument of appointments were issued to the RCI chairman and panel members and that the report would be submitted to Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

Citizenship for foreigners: Dr M’s reasoning flawed

KOTA KINABALU: A Sabah MP today lashed out at the Umno-led federal government for irresponsibly granting foreigners residing in Sabah citizenship merely because they can speak the language and had been in the state for a number of years.

Sepangar MP Eric Majimbun, who is Sabah Progressive Party deputy president, said the ruling coalition’s real agenda in granting citizenship to foreigners was to hang on to power using their votes of gratitude.
