‘Nazri still believes Sabahans stupid’

Where were the laws that federal minister Nazri Aziz
was referring to when the sinister Project IC was
executed to issue MyKads to illegal?
KOTA KINABALU: A senior lawyer here has accused federal minister Nazri Abdul Aziz of “lying” when he said it will be “difficult” for the federal government to re-issue new MyKads for Sabah because it involved “laws” which needed to be studied.
Demanding to know what “laws” Nazri was referring to, Daniel Jambun said: “Nazri is lying and avoiding the proposal. He still believes Sabahans are stupid and can be lied to.
“He has the audacity to say it is difficult to solve the MyKad problem when the solution is right in his very hands.

Muslihat Nazri larang guna ruang akhbar Parlimen – Rafizi

Tindakan Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri itu dan
pengurusan Parlimen menghadkan akses rakyat biasa
untuk ke Parlimen dan bersuara melalui sidang
media hanya akan merendahkan martabat dan
kedudukan Parlimen.

The politician, his son and the crony

“That is between my son and Michael Chia, its not
like he (Chia) is giving it to me… and I am the
minister, not my son.”
If the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, then the way to an Umno politician’s heart, is through his spouse or children. In Malaysia, cronies beat a path to the politician’s door, to provide material goods for his family members.
Only the naïve would think their acts charitable. Cronies do it for personal gain: tenders for contracts, to avoid the law, a means to fleece the public through subsidies or when government projects are ‘outsourced” like the AES (Automated Enforcement System) aka “speed traps”.
Plum jobs and multi-million dollar government contracts are reserved for the offspring of Umno politicians, their cronies and pro-Umno civil servants.

Rafizi dedah anak Nazri Aziz terima kenderaan mewah Michael Chia

‘I did not get RM3m from Chia but the car…’

Nazri Abdul Aziz denies receiving RM3 million
from a timber tycoon 'friend' but is unsure
if the latter lent his car to his son.
KUALA LUMPUR: Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Nazri Abdul Aziz has denied receiving any money from timber tycoon Michael Chia over a purported RM40 million scandal involving Sabah Umno.
He was responding to Malaysia Today blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin (also known as RPK) who claimed that Nazri and his son Mohamad Nedim received RM3 million and a sports car respectively from Chia.
“Oh no, it’s not true, it’s not true. Chia is a friend. I don’t know if he lent the car to my son. You have to ask my son,” he told FMT in his office this afternoon.
Although he did not directly criticise Raja Petra over the claim, Nazri said that he had no problem with this matter being raised.

No proof of graft on Musa, says Nazri

The minister adds that the Hong Kong authorities
had also decided against taking any action
against the Sabah chief minister.
KUALA LUMPUR: Sabah Chief Minister Musa Aman has been cleared of allegations of laundering money purportedly linked to Umno.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Nazri Aziz said the Attorney-General (Abdul Gani Patail) found “no elements of corruption” from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) probe on the Umno leader.
He said the money was only a “contribution” to the party’s Sabah chapter.
“It is not for the private use of the the chief minister,” he said in a written reply to Batu MP Tian Chua at Parliament today.

Does Nazri want to turn Sabah into a Filindo state?

By Daniel John Jambun
Daniel John Jambun
Daniel John JambunThe comment by Datuk Nazri Aziz that the immigrants in Sabah are under control and are not a threat to the state is another proof that the Federal Government is not interested to solve this mother of all problem. What is painful about this comment is that we can smell a dirty rat, a mala fide (bad intention) and the underlying reality that the Federal Government is actually supporting the presence of illegal immigrants in Sabah as part of some sinister plan to continue changing the demography of the state.

What he said was outrageous and unacceptable and should have been condemned by everyone and every party, including the leaders and parties of the Barisan Nasional. Unfortunately only PBS, through its Secretary General, Datuk Henrynus Amin was daring enough to protest, saying Nazri “was politically insensitive to grassroots sentiment in Sabah, especially their fears and concern for the future wellbeing posed by the huge presence of illegal immigrants” and that the statement fuelled “speculations in the streets as the genuine commitment of the Barisan Nasional Government to resolve the perennial problem of illegal immigrants in the state.” He demanded that the minister clarify and correct his statement. The response is still total silence.

Nazri: Large number of foreigners in Sabah not a threat

Nazri Aziz
(The Star) - The presence of 889,770 legal and illegal foreigners in Sabah is not a threat to the country or the state's security and order, said Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz.
He said that while national population growth was 2.5% annually, the growth in Sabah was higher.
"The population growth rate is higher in Sabah compared to Sarawak and Peninsular Malaysia for several reasons, including the presence of illegal immigrants from neighbouring countries," he said in response to a question by Datuk Seri Wilfred Mojilip Bumburing (Tuaran) on whether the presence of 800,000 foreigners in Sabah posed a threat to national safety and security.

Putrajaya will not win stand-off with Bar Council

By Joe Fernandez
It appears that the current Najib Administration has forgotten the bitter lessons learnt during Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad's long innings in office when he, the frightened little man he was by default in office, openly and shamelessly rooted for extreme coercion as his preferred modus operandi.

It's not so much that Prime Minister Mohd Najib Abdul Razak is calling the shots in the current stand-off with the Bar Council of Malaya on the proposed Law Academy in the wake of Bersih 3.0.

Nazri Balas Dendam Terhadap Ambiga

“Dia itu bukan sesiapa pun. Tidak ada ‘locus standi’...",
ujar Nazri Aziz.

Nazri denies allegations of illegal immigrants getting citizenship

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department
Nazri Abdul Aziz denies allegations that
foreigners were issued Malaysian citizenship
KOTA KINABALU: The government has categorically denied ever issuing Malaysian citizenship to any of the Filipino refugees in Sabah although there is substantial evidence to the contrary.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Nazri Abdul Aziz said that all the refugees totalling 81,000 are still holding IMM13 document, which allows them to move around freely as well as to seek employment.

DAP: Nazri abusing his power

Nazri has no power to order GLCs to stop suing ex-MAS boss
Tajuddin Ramli, the DAP said.
PETALING JAYA: The DAP has attacked Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Nazri Abdul Aziz for ordering government-linked companies (GLCs) to cease suing a former Malaysia Airlines (MAS) executive chairman Tajuddin Ramli.

PJ Utara MP Tony Pua ticked off Nazri for using his influence as a minister to let Tajuddin off the hook.

Nazri says Malay supremacy wrongly interpreted

By Clara Chooi
November 30, 2010

Nazri says ‘ketuanan Melayu’ is not about the Malays, it is about the Malay Rulers.
KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 30 — Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Aziz attempted today to silence arguments on “Malay supremacy”, claiming it has been grossly interpreted to propagate the supremacy of the Malay race by leaders with “cow dung in their brains”.

The minister in the Prime Minister’s Department told The Malaysian Insider that the famous phrase, often used by Malay right-wing leaders to push for Malay rights, was coined to protect the sovereignty of the Malay Rulers.
As such, Nazri stressed that “Malay supremacy” did not in any way mean that the Malays were more superior than the other races.
