Killed for jumping a red light?

Another case of unnecessary police violence,
says Puchong MP Gobind
KUALA LUMPUR: An alleged traffic offender died last week after he was arrested and manhandled by four police officers in Medan Imbi, Puchong MP Gobind Singh Deo told a press conference today.

Gobind said the assault occurred at a restaurant and he had seen a video recording of it that was shot by a patron.

A report in China Press quoted police sources as saying that the victim, 53-year-old Chong Foo Ming, was foaming at the mouth after he was restrained and handcuffed. The report said police tried to flag him down after he had beaten a red light, but he sped off.

Bekas OCPD: Tukar k'jaan, pulihkan wibawa polis

Kerajaan sedia ada perlu ditukar jika rakyat benar-benar serius mahu mengembalikan kewibawaan pasukan polis, kata seorang bekas pegawai kanan polis, malam tadi.

Mantan ketua polis daerah Kota Kinabalu, Sabah Mohd Yousoff Babjee berkata, pasukan polis kini menerima terlalu banyak campur tangan politik sehingga mengganggu tugas-tugas mereka.

"Untuk memulihkannya saya rasa kita tukarlah kerajaan. Saya rasa jangan (ada) masuk campur tangan politik (dalam polis).

Sarawak cop, gangsters assault youth

Sarawak DAP wants the IGP to act on 21-year-old
Andrewson Ngalai’s report against a police inspector.
By Joseph Tawie
KUCHING: A police inspector attached to the General Operations Force (GOF) not only aided and abetted a group of gangsters in assaulting a 21-year-old coffeeshop worker, but also took part by slapping the youth in the early hours of March 14.
The inspector’s act was caught on a CCTV camera in a coffeeshop at MJC Batu Kawah where Andrewson Ngalai anak Tandang works.
After Andrewson lodged a report at the MJC Batu Kawah police station on the same day, the man seen in the CCTV was identified as the police inspector attached to the GOF at Batu Kawah by other officers.

Our Police In Action: Only in Malaysia

NOTE the police could easily spot & stopped ONE boat with 3 Al Jazeera journalists sailing to Lahad Datu Sabah but not a FLOTILLA with over 300 (?)  armed men heading in the same direction- they apparently slipped in under their radar!

Also the UMNO Gov't had not problems to deport an unarmed Aussie politician who was a "security threat" and helpless in handling the real security threat by the armed men.

When hundreds of armed foreigners "invaded" Sabah, our Police and Armed Forces pussy footed. Give water, hold negotiations, and even gentlemanly pleaded them to leave peacefully. Our Police treated them like VIPs.

Unarmed Bersih and Hindraf protesters (only armed with salt and water bottles ) are tear gassed and shot with chemically laced water cannons and some even attacked indiscriminately by dozens of policemen injuring dozens.
