‘Jeffrey desperate because STAR falling apart’

By Joseph Bingkasan
Angkatan Perubahan Sabah chief Wilfred Bumburing
has reminded STAR's Jeffrey Kitingan of his own
"cari makan politics" past.
KOTA KINABALU: Tuaran MP Wilfred Bumburing believes that State Reform Party (STAR) chief Jeffrey Kitingan’s incessant attacks on him is because of Angkatan Perubahan Sabah’s (APS) increasing presence in KadazanDusunMurut areas.
Bumburing said it was now obvious that Jeffrey, who’s been claiming absolute strength in KDM areas, was “desperate” because “STAR is falling apart since the formation of APS”.
He said the dissolution of the STAR Papar division last month with the exit of well-known activist Patrick Sindu and more than 1,000 members was an indication of the beginning. All of them joined PKR.

Malaya Federation masquarading as Malaysia Federation ?

Malaysia has an unwritten Constitution based on the Batu Sumpah and other constitutional documents like the written Constitution of Malaya, Malaysia Agreement, the Malaysia Bill, the Inter Governmental Committee Report, the Cobbold Commission Report, the 20/18 Points, Adat, the UN's Informal Survey on Malaysia, the Sabah and Sarawak Constitutions, the Dent/Overbeck Agreements with the Sultans of Brunei and Sulu, the Madrid Protocol of 1885, the Singapore/Malaya Merger through Malaysia proposal, the various British Committees which studied the formation of Malaysia etc etc long before Tunku Abdul Rahman announced it in May 1961 at a meeting with the Foreign Correspondents Association in Singapore.

‘Can we trust Sabah BN leaders, anymore?’

The only reason Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak is
desperately wooing Sabah is because Umno can no
longer rule Peninsular Malaysia without
Sabah and Sarawak.

PENAMPANG: A veteran political activist who was once with Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) said many among the Barisan Nasional leaders in Sabah had at many times told crowds that BN stands for “Barisan Nah Sial”.
Fredoline Edwin Lojingki, 71, who is now with opposition State Reform Party (STAR) said he could name these hypocrite leaders who are now heaping praises after praises on BN and its corrupt leaders.
“These leaders once referred to BN as Barisan Nah Sial but they are singing a different tune now because they are now ministers, they got projects and all the trappings of power,” he said in a statement here today in response to PBS Johnny Mositun’s statement yesterday.

Najib gives KDMs a fair chance

PBS has urged its members not to gamble away the
future of the KadazanDusun and Murut (KDM)
communities by voting for Pakatan Rakyat.
KOTA KINABALU: Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) has reminded Sabahans that never before have they had such a “high representation” in the federal cabinet, including leaders from the KadazanDusun and Murut (KDM) communities.
PBS information chief Johnny Mositun pointed out that Barisan Nasional under Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak had been inclusive and had given every community a hand in policy-making and governance of the country.
“Just look at the representations in the federal cabinet. Of the three Sabahan federal ministers, two are KDM (Dr Maximus Ongkili and Bernard Dompok).
“Joseph Kurup is also a KDM and he is a deputy federal minister.

‘We’re united,’ says KDM lawyer

There is no disunity among the KadazanDusuns but what exists
are Barisan Nasional leaders who want to divide and rule.
KOTA KINABALU: Darell Leiking, a young Kadazandusun lawyer from Penampang, believes his community can be a force to be reckoned with in the coming general elections and an indication of this is coming from Barisan Nasional leaders who are worried the tide has turned against them ahead of the 13th general election.
“We are not disunited racially or religiously. We are united. Tagging the community as disunited because they do not see eye to eye in political ideology is a false notion,” said the man who wants to take his community in a new political direction.

‘Don’t recycle tainted Sabah BN leaders’

By Luke Rintod of FMT
KOTA KINABALU: KDM Malaysia, a pro-Umno organisation in Sabah, has warned the ruling Barisan Nasional leadership to discard tainted politicians to prevent further erosion of support for the already embattled coalition.
KDM Malaysia’s president, Peter Anthony, said the BN top leadership must take into account its own slogan of transforming itself when it comes head-on with tainted leaders.
“The voters are more educated and selective nowadays and therefore (government leaders) must take cognisant of the adverse effect of fielding or renominating leaders who had been linked to scandals, corrupt acts and obvious abuse of power,” he said explaining his complaints about illegal logging believed to be linked to several Umno leaders in Papar and Kimanis areas.
