Many BN leaders once said Barisan "Nah Sial", says Star veteran

By Ezra Haganez
PENAMPANG
: A veteran political activist who was once with Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) said many among the Barisan Nasional leaders in Sabah had at many times told crowds that BN stands for "Barisan Nah Sial".

Fredoline Edwin Lojingki, 71, who is now with opposition State Reform Party (Star) said he could name these hypocrite leaders who are now heaping praises after praises on BN and its corrupt leaders.

Mositun’s criticisms are actually compliments on Jeffrey

Believe it or not, there are times in your political life when you think you are criticizing someone but in reality you are actually complimenting him or her. This is what Datuk Johnny Mositun had done when he criticized Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan a few days ago. He said that Dr. Jeffrey “is deliberately playing on the people’s sensitivities and parochial sentiments.”

By saying these, Mositun actually admit that Dr. Jeffrey is a doing the right things in politics – appealing to the sentiments and sensitivities of the people. What are the people’s sentiments and sensitivities? Well, for Mositun’s information, these are just a few of them: (1) The people want their leaders to defend their rights, (2) The want what were promised to Sabah in 1963, (3) They want the power to decide on their own fate without having to be subjected to the wills and fancies of the leaders from Malaya, (4) They want their leaders to be courageous, speaking and demanding for them, and not be subservient to a Malayan party like Umno, (5) They want their leaders to have guts and not cowards and pak turuts, traitors, and stooges just for the sake of their salaries, allowances, perks and kickbacks.

Jambun to Mositun: Let’s debate on what’s best for Sabah

By Daniel John Jambun

KOTA KINABALU: State Reform Party (STAR) has taken exception to the statement by PBS’ Information Chief Datuk Johnny Mositun who said Datuk Dr. Jefrrey Kitingan and STAR have been making unrealistic promises to fish for support.

STAR Deputy Chairman, Daniel John Jambun, said here today that there is a fundamental difference between the PBS mentality and the vision of STAR. “PBS thinks of Sabah as one of the 13 states while STAR thinks of Sabah and Sarawak as the Borneo states under the Borneo Alliance pursuing the Borneo Agenda which is seeking rights and autonomy from the domination of Peninsular Malaysia,” he said. “Maybe PBS has forgotten that Malaysia was formed as a four-nation Federation and not a combination of 14 unitary states.”
