Like Anwar, Najib is ignorant about Sabah's autonomy - STAR

PUTATAN: The assurance by the Prime Minister that Sabah's autonomy is a non-issue because its provision is still intact "under the 20-Points of the Malaysia Agreement" is unacceptable because it misses the whole point about Sabah's autonomy, said State Reform Party (STAR).

STAR's State deputy chairman, Awang Ahmad Sah, who is contesting for the Putatan parliamentary constituency under the STAR's ticket, said in statement here that the Prime Minister seems to be as ignorant as PKR advisor Anwar Ibrahim on the matter of Sabah's autonomy.

The Election Commission must ensure that the security personnel
in ESSZONE which encompasses 11 parliamentary and 30 state
constituencies are not postal voters.

Now leading the State Reform Party (STAR) as its chairman, Jeffrey stressed that the appeal is to the people of Sabah across the board, regardless of their ethnicity and religion and whether they were beneficiaries of “Project IC” or not.
“We also urge all Sabahans who are currently away from Sabah to fulfil their patriotic duty and return and cast their votes to safeguard their homeland from being taken over by outsiders,” he added.

“BN should stop hoodwinking the people and play the “Best Developmentunder BN” card to attract voters support when it is clear that the BN State and Federal governments have failed in their responsibility to properly develop Sabah” responded Datuk Dr.Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief to reports that Deputy Chief Minister, Tan Sri Pairin Kitingan, has praised that BN has the best track record government in the world in development and that the people of Sabah should continue to support BN in the coming general election.

STAR adds ‘Kita Ambil Balik’ to ‘Ini Kali Lah’

The new slogan is aimed at helping the party take
back what was taken away from Sabahans.
By Luke Rintod of FMT
KOTA KINABALU: With its conviction building that its time has come, Jeffrey Kitingan’s State Reform Party (STAR) has added to its popular slogan, “Ini Kali Lah” the additional phrase “Kita Ambil Balik” (We Shall Take Back) ahead of the coming general election.
STAR Sabah operation room director, Saiman Sandah, in a statement here today said, the slogan “Ini Kali Lah, Kita Ambil Balik” will help pave the way for STAR to lead in taking back what was taken away from the state and Sabahans.
He said the new slogan has already started to be used by STAR leaders at the party’s functions including at a closed-door briefings for potential candidates at the Ming Garden Hotel here over the weekend.

STAR: CM Should Clarify Timber Deal Report

“The CM, as chairman of Yayasan Sabah, should clarify the Business Times report and not the Director of Forestryas there seems to be more behind the purported timber deal of some 80,937 hectares (199,995 acres) to be awarded to Permaju Holdings Sdn. Bhd. by Yayasan Sabah (YS)” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, Chairman of STAR SABAH in response to the mere denial by the Director of Forestry to the news report of the alleged timber deal in the Business Times on Monday.

STAR: Borneo Agenda About Sabah Rights Not Anti-Malaya

STAR's Sabah Information Chief, Edward Linggu
“Sabah and Sarawak are equal partners with Malaya and not the 12th and 13th States and the Borneo Agenda is about the rights of Sabah and Sarawak and is not anti-Malaya or parochial” said Edward Linggu, STAR Sabah Information Chief, in response to Datuk Seri Panglima Wilfred Bumburing’s statement reported in the local media.

The Malaya Agenda is about the internal control and colonization of Sabah and the siphoning of Sabah’s rich resources, oil and gas and revenue.   The Borneo Agenda advocated by STAR is about the seeking and restoring Sabah’s rights and autonomy and to manage its own rich resources.  Treating Sabah as a colony and “fixed deposit” and taking 95% of Sabah’s oil revenue and 100% of its federal revenue is no longer acceptable.

Malaysia Federation has failed

By Dr Jeffrey G. Kitingan
2013 will most likely be the beginning year of Correction, Restoration and Renewal, while 2012 was the peak of Malaysia’s manipulative politics, said political activist and STAR Sabah Chairman, DatukDr. Jeffrey Kitingan.

The Fall of Malaysia as a Federation
Malaysia was envisioned to be a great new Federation when three infant nations (Singapore, North Borneo and Sarawak) were forced by circumstances (due to national security, post-World War II consideration and de-colonization) to be rushed into a merger with Malaya by a 1963 agreement (the Malaysia Agreement) with many pre-conditions.  Under the circumstances, Malaysia was a confusing concept right from the start.

Clarification – Keningau Admin Centre For Interior Region

“While we welcome the much support for Keningau to be the new administrative capital of Sabah that was carried in the newspapers few days ago, we need to state that STAR Sabah only intends to make Keningau as the administrative centre of a new Interior “internal state” as part of an administration reform plan” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, the STAR Sabah Chief in response to what was erroneously reported that Keningau would be the new capital when STAR Sabah forms the new government.
It is the intention of STAR Sabah to be part a new Sabah government that will bring about reforms and changes and implement new and creative ideas and policies to create a new Sabah that is safe, autonomous and progressive.

" Bah! Tunggu apa lagi!" Slogan SAPP PRU-13

Two-party system in Parliament not ideal for Sabah, Sarawak

Dear Sir,
By“A disenchanted East Malaysian voter” (Daily Express Forum Sun 20 May, 2012) appears to be caught up with the politics of delusion in rooting for a two-party system for Sabah and Sarawak as well.

Don’t we want to not only stand up and be counted but also stand on our own two feet?

When are we going to stop living in fear and shed the slave mentality and the dependency syndrome foisted on us by the subsidy regime and other ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) dirty tricks to ghettoize us and make us think that we are incapable of doing anything and would have to depend on them forever to keep body-and-soul together?

Star dares Sabah CM to debate on 'colonialism'

KOTA KINABALU:  Sabah Chief Minister Musa Aman has stirred a hornet's nest by his statement in the local media on Tues on "the Opposition lying about the state being colonised by the Malaya-run Federal Government".

The State Reform Party (Star), for one, wants Musa to prove his allegations of the Opposition lying instead of "hiding beyond vague, sweeping and meaningless statements".

The state cabinet holding meetings, the state government co-operating with the Federal Government or being pawned off with announcements of measly fund allocations by the latter "does not mask the reality that Sabah has been colonised", according to Star in a prepared press statement. "The evidence of internal colonization is all around us."

"We challenge him to a public debate on the topic: Is Sabah still a colony?" said Star deputy chairman Daniel John Jambun. "Demokrasi Sabah (Desah) the NGO can make the arrangements."

Sabah in dire need for wider triple-lane roads to connect KK to major towns

By Jalibin Paidi of STAR Ranau
RANAU :  The in-coming Federal Government must allocate more funds for a better and wider roads in Sabah, including all roads that connect the state capital Kota Kinabalu and the other major towns like Sandakan, Tawau, Keningau and Kudat.

Time and again we saw a mere landslip on our small double-lane roads would cripple traffic for days just like the one that happened very recently in Ranau. Virtually all traffic from Ranau, Sandakan, Tawau and Lahad Datu to the state capital were halted for very long hours.
