No chance for these p'sula parties: PCS

Kota Kinabalu: Peninsula-based opposition parties will have no chance to form the government in Sabah even if they won the coming general election.

Parti Cinta Sabah (PCS) President Dr Nicholas James Guntobon said parties such as Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), Democratic Action Party (DAP) and PAS could not even appoint any of their own Sabahan leaders as the Chief Minister of Sabah with the existence of Article 6(3) and 6(7) in the Sabah Constitution.

PAPAR: A Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) leader is allegedly linked to a logging operation near a controversial state Barisan Nasional government “mini estet sejahtera” (MESEJ) project in Kg Kinolosodon, Papar that is being investigated.
According to a police report lodged at the Papar police station on May 19, the landowner of the site where the logging took place named one Jamil William Corie as the person who instructed timber be extracted from the area. Corie is reportedly SAPP’s Bongawan Constituency Liaison Committee (CLC) vice-chairman.

Illegal logging in Crocker Range in Ulu Kimanis?

Updated with more photos
By Dr. Nicholas Guntobon
PAPAR : What i am about to reveal is just a tip of an iceberg but enough to raise doubt on the seriousness of the ruling party in managing state affairs vis-a-vis illegal loggings, water catchments, environment, poverty eradication programme and even life of our citizens.

In Kampung Kinolosodon, Papar, in the Ulu Kimanis area on the Crocker Range is a coming up Mini Estet Sejahtera (MESEJ) project by the government. But this project under the Kimanis which is represented by Foreign Minister Anifah Aman, many things were not right.

I used to ply this Kimanis - Keningau road and everytime i passed Kinosolodon, i am curious as more and more "logging tracks" could be seen from a far on the once dense forests of Crocker Range in Ulu Kimanis in that part in upper Kinosolodon.

Star respond to PKR man accusation

KENINGAU : Well PKR now sounds more like its brother UMNO. Star never make any unrealistic promises to the people of Sabah in contrast to what Risham Mail of PKR had accused us.

It is our duty to tell the people the real history about Malaysia formation and how we were once an independent country, eventually reduced to just one of the 12 states in Malaysia.

Old lady dies in a hut waiting for "hijacked" PPRT house

By Dr Nicholas James Guntobon
KENINGAU :
Two days ago, an old lady, a bona fide Sabahan, in her 70s who had been living alone for years in an old shack (look at the hut in the piucture) in Kampung Ulu Kauran near here died without seeing her application for a more decent house under PPRT being approved after years of pleading.

Kg Ulu Kauran is in Liawan, and was not allocated a proper Kampung Development and Security Committee (JKKK). The kampung was put under the JKKK Kampung Ulu Patikang instead.

What the hell thousands "Bajau Semporna" doing in Liawan, Keningau ?

By Dr Nicholas James Guntobon
KENINGAU : I am responding to Liawan assemblyman Sairin Karno's reaction to an expose i made regarding the about 1,000 PATAIs suddenly sprucing up their houses in an open space in Liawan, only one km from town.

I think Sairin should not confuse the people about the facts surrounding the influx of about 1,000 illegal immigrants who had turned an open space near Keningau low-cost housing into illegal kampung dubbed the new "Indah Permai".

Sairin, okey let us debate says STAR's Dr Nicholas

By Dr Nicholas James Guntobon
KENINGAU :  UMNO's Liawan State Assemblyman Sairin Karno has challenged STAR's Sabah chairman Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan to a debate on the 20 Points and Borneonisation.

Such a challenge to Dr Jeffrey should come from Sabah UMNO Chief Musa Aman and not Sairin who lacks locus standi.

RCI or no RCI? Asks STAR on conflicting PM and Dompok statements

Najib trying to find excuses to avoid RCI on
illegal immigrants and fake ICs in Sabah?
KENINGAU : The State Reform Party (STAR) has questioned the sudden turn-around by Prime Minister Najib Razak's stand on whether or not to agree to the setting up of the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on the large presence of illegal immigrants in Sabah and the rampant issuance of Malaysian documents to these people.

Deputy chairman of the party's Sabah chapter, Dr Nicholas James Guntobon, in a statement here said Najib's non-committal answer to the issue of setting up the RCI reflected UMNO's second thought on it after a presumed strong objection from Sabah UMNO during his recent visit to Sabah.

STAR's Dr Nicholas lashes at UMNO's Youth on Sabah rights

By Gregory Gondua
KENINGAU : Keningau UMNO leader Azman Ruslan's accusation (published in Borneo Post days ago) that State Reform Party (STAR) is playing a blame-game in safeguarding state rights is unbecoming of a Sabahan leader, if one is dignified enough to be called one, said State Reform Party (STAR) dputy chairman for its Sabah chepter, Dr Nicholas James Guntobon.

Dr Guntobon said STAR stands for Sabah state rights and its leaders are proud to admit it. "We don't know what Sabah UMNO stands for as its actions have brought in numerous problems to Sabahans that also has affected the Interior which Azman refused to admit for reasons best known to many," he said in a statement issued here.

Star Amused At Bn Rahman's Asking Anwar To Give Assurance

By Dr Nicholas James Guntobon
KENINGAU: The statement by BN MP for Kota Belud, Rahman Dahlan, asking for an assurance by opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim that Sabah would not get less than it gets under a BN Federal government is alike to BN already conceding defeat in the coming general election.

I wonder if Rahman's statement which came out in Borneo Post today is reflective of CM Musa Aman's stand or even the Sabah BN of which Rahman is its secretary.

Launching of STAR Keningau tomorrow (Saturday Feb 11, 2012)

By Raymond Tombung
KENINGAU: The launching of the State Reform Party (STAR) for the Keningau parliamentary constituency is to be held here, tomorrow.

Organising Chairman for the event, Dr. Nicholas Guntobon, announced that the venue for the event will be at the Restoran Pelancongan, located by the Keningau-Tenom road about two kilometres from Keningau town. “We will kick off at about 1.30 p.m.,” he said. “And we invite all supporters and those wishing to hear the rationales for choosing STAR which will be elaborated by our Chairman, Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan in his speech.”

The Keningau launch is the fourth in the series for district launches, after the Kota Marudu, Pitas, and Kota Belud.
