STAR: PM Should Stop Lying and Fooling Sabahans

“The Prime Minister should stop lying and treating Sabahans as fools by making sweeping statements about Sabah’s rights without checking the facts.  To true Sabahans, the PM is making a fool of himself” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, Chairman of STAR Sabah in response to the PM’s statement that the rights of Sabahans are intact as reported in today’s papers.

KOTA KINABALU: Former Sabah governor and chief minister Tun Mustapha Harun’s son has accused Umno of betraying his father’s trust and tearing apart his legacy.

Badaruddin Tun Mustapha said it was ironical that Umno, the party that his father had helped enter into Sabah politics, had plundered the state and reduced its immense wealth and power to a few handouts from the federal government.

PKR is worse than Umno, alleges ex-PKR division chief

KOTA KINABALU: Former PKR Sepangar Chief, Felix Sitaun said he left the party for STAR because he saw STAR as the real hope for Sabah.

“I now fully believe that Sabah should be governed by local parties, not by parties from the Peninsular,” he said in statement here. “And I can see that if PKR rules Sabah, it will be even worse that the present Umno/BN state government.”

UBF ‘agrees’ to back ABU

LABUAN: The organisors and sponsors of peninsular-based the ‘Anything But Umno’ (ABU) movement, which is calling for the removal of Umno in the next election, are seeking partners in East Malaysia.

Leading civil advocate, Haris Ibrahim (photo), yesterday flew to the Federal Territory of Labuan, defying the Sabah government’s “persona non grata” order slapped on him recently, to hold talks with Sabah political activists led by Daniel John Jambun.
