How can we be happy on the eve of UMNO agenda to disenfranchise all Sabahans?

The new year brings with it one clear and present danger to the peace loving people of Sabah. They are facing the likelihood of the electoral system being changed in such a way that the legitimate Sabah voter will be outnumbered by “illegals” instant voters created by UMNO rigging of the electoral system.

Last year (2012) PM Najib's many visits to Sabah were more than just to show his love and concern for the welfare of Sabahans.

In fact he was discussing with Sabah UMNO and organising the re-arranging of the voting pattern in Sabah.

Umno ‘medicine’ killing Sabah, says Star

KOTA KINABALU: The State Reform Party (Star) is no longer amused by "the gross exaggerations and inaccuracies" continually being peddled by the ruling Umno-led Barisan Nasional (BN) in Sabah in the run-up to the forthcoming 13th General Election.

The latest statement from Umno which has irked the Borneo-based national party is one from Chief Minister Musa Aman. The Sabah leader claimed on Tues that the opposition, unlike BN, cannot offer the right medicine for Sabah. He claimed "numerous achievements" in the state under the BN.

Usno old hands to ‘power-up’ Jeffrey’s party

By Luke Rintod of FMT
PAPAR: One of the sons of former Sabah chief minister Tun Mustapha Harun who has been trying to revive his father’s party is determined that the state Umno-led Barisan Nasional coalition government be replaced by a Sabah-based political party.

Badaruddin Tun Mustapha said that Usno whether registered or not would stick with State Reform Party (STAR) Sabah chairman, Jeffrey Kitingan, in facing the coming general election for the sake of Sabah’s future and dignity.

UMNO, MIC & MIC

There are three major races in Malaysia. They are the Malay, Chinese and Indian. The Malay has the political power and so they set up the party UMNO which literally means “U Must Not Object”.

While the Chinese controlled the economy and they called their party MCA which means “Money Conquered All”.

Lastly, the Indian who has no say in politic or economics, set up their party called MIC. Hence, every parliamentary meeting the Indians would ask: “Must I Come?”

UBF: Political Ploy By Sabah BN On RCI To Garner Votes Only

By Edward Linggu
Edward Linggu
“Sabahans and patriotic Sabahan leaders need to understand the ploy of Sabah BN led by UMNO, PBS and UPKO on the recent announcement by UMNO Sabah that UMNO Sabah has no objections to the setting up of the RCI on illegal immigrants issue. The play-acting continued with UPKO and PBS rushing to “angkat” their political bosses by heaping praise on UMNO’s statement of no objections” said Edward Linggu, Campaign Director of UBF.

While it is to be complimented the statement that UMNO Sabah has no objections to the RCI, it has to seen in the light of growing ground-swell amongst the people in Sabah in support of the RCI including many Muslim NGOs in recent times as well as the backlash against UMNO and Sabah BN in the forthcoming general elections due anytime soon.

Principles beat personalities

I don’t really blame all those people who feel enraged by the apparent defection of erstwhile pro-democracy blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin to the Umno/BN or at least anti-PKR ranks.

raja petra Live telecast of the MCLM Forum in LondonBut I feel that RPK’s rank betrayal of his former followers and fans is a blessing in disguise: a timely lesson in the fact that we can count on nobody to save us but ourselves.
