Students ‘forced’ to eat meals in toilet area

PETALING JAYA: The Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Pristana in Sungai Buloh has come under fire from netizens after a parent posted photos on Facebook of non-Muslim students having their meals in the school’s shower area, next door to the toilets.

It shows students eating food on makeshift tables and benches placed in the shower area, ostensibly a decision made by school because of the fasting month of Ramadan.

Great Truths in Malaysia - very witty

By Louis Belmonte

1. In my many years I have come to a conclusion that one useless man is a shame, two is a law firm and three or more is the Malaysian Parliament.

2. If you don't read the newspaper you are uninformed, if you do read the newspaper you are misinformed.

3. Suppose you were an idiot. And suppose you were a member of Parliament. But then I repeat myself.

4. I contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle.

An independent report by Morgan Stanley economist on corrupt Malaysia

A Morgan Stanley economist estimated Malaysia lost US$100 billions, that is equivalent to RM300 billions (not millions) to corruption. Time Magazine quoted this economist at Morgan Stanley in Singapore as saying that the country might have lost as much as US$100 billion since the early 1980s or the period since Mahathir came to power. FYI, RM300 billion = 300,000, 000 million. A  stupendous sum that is at the same time, mind-numbing.

A. The staggering losses accumulated over the years since Mahathir's era till now are as follows: Perwaja RM10 billion. Forex fiasco in early 90s RM30 billion. mid-80s Maminco scandal RM1.6 billion. Incessant Bank Bumiputra Scandals RM10 billion. STAR-LRT bailout RM3.256
billion. RM38.5 billion compensation to UMNO-linked highway companies. KL City-wide Putra transport system RM4.486 billion. PKFZ 12 billion. Bank Islam RM700 million. MV Agusta & Proton RM 348 million. Wang ehsan, oil royalty for Terengganu RM7.4 billion. Even KLCC Twin Towers Philharmonic Orchestra swallowed a total of RM500 million. Bailouts of Malaysia Airline

A case of double-speak from Muhyiddin

On one hand, he says Umno-BN is not a racist party,
and on the other hand, he talks about defending
Malay this, Malay that.
Muhyiddin denies Umno is a racist party

Quigonbond: Assuming we take it as truism that Umno is not a racist party, Umno leaves no space for anyone to take their word for it; not when they demonise PKR as a one-cause party and DAP as Chinese/Christian chauvinists. Not when they tolerate the likes of Perkasa and Pembela.

It's okay to say you want to help poor Malays, but you've long crossed the line when you help the rich Malays more, and you even go so far as to threaten blood and mayhem to those who want a little more fairness, in your typical political brinkmanship.

Shocking racial ‘imbalance’ in civil service

So much for 1Malaysia concept
KUCHING: Change, like charity should begin at home.  Likewise Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak should have begun implementing his 1Malaysia concept within the civil service first before attempting to ‘teach the world’.

Alas this has not happened and Najib, according to Sarawak DAP has failed miserably in improving the racial composition of the civil service.

The situation is a poor reflection of his seriousness in implementing the 1Malaysia concept.

1Malay or 1Malaysia

Malay, Chinese and Indian are all Malaysian brothers and sisters.
But BN has screwed Malaysians and Malaysia up.
Malay 1st…. Malaysian 2nd

When a Malay, Chinese and Indian, all Malaysians, apply for:-
1)      Scholarships, Malays will get it first irrespective of bright Malaysians
2)      Entry to the local universities and bestcourses such medicine, dentistry, law, Malays will get it first irrespective of quality.      Residential hostels, Matriculation courses, MARA Uni, Malays will get 90% to 100%. (By the way, matriculation exams are internally set      by own lecturers - about thousands of straight A’s students in Matriculation compared to the straight A’s STPM which are few. This is “Malay meritocracy vs Malaysian meritocracy”!
3)   Social Welfare, Malays will get it first irrespective of how poor the Malaysian rakyat is

Najib’s Pastoral Picture of Malaysia

Asia Sentinel

Despite the prime minister’s speech to the UN, his country is facing serious racial tension. Najib hired the US public relations firm APCO to come up with a US$40 million program to seek to pull the races together as well as to seek to burnish his own image overseas, tarnished as it has been by a long series of scandals. The program, called 1Malaysia, is considered by most people to have failed.

Malaysia’s Prime Minister, Najib Tun Razak, made an eloquent speech to the United Nations earlier this week, telling the assembled body that, among other things, Malaysia “is a multi-racial, multi-religious, multi-cultural and democratic society that has benefited from the positive interaction and synergy between the various communities. Mosques, temples, churches and other places of worship co-exist in harmony.

1Malaysia not about racial equality, insists Umno sec-gen

By Wong Choon Mei, Malaysia Chronicle

Not only has Prime Minister Najib Razak made a complete U-turn from an earlier attempt to distance his Umno party from ultra-Malay rights group Perkasa, his trusted lieutenants now even say Najib’s prized 1Malaysia plan is not about racial equality.

The latest comments from Umno secretary-general Tengku Adnan were immediately denounced by Pakatan Rakyat leaders.
