"When President Ferdinand Marcos declared martial law all over the Philippines on Sept. 21, 1972, Datu Punjungan Kiram, a crown prince then, HID OFF TO SABAH
Datu Abdilnaser said then CHIEF MINISTER TUN MUSTAPHA, A FELLOW TAUSUG, INVITED THEIR FATHER SULTAN PUNJUNGAN?
“After six months, we followed our father,” says Datu Abdilnaser, except Kiram III, Datu Phugdar, and Datu Bararuddin.
Tun Mustapha HAD PROMISED TO CROWN THEIR FATHER SULTAN OF SULU, but a jealous brother of the chief minister stopped it, he said.
“All the preparations, the royal raiment and regalia were ready,” he said.
Datu Abdilnaser said THEY WERE PROVIDED 1,000 MALAYSIAN RINGGIT BY THE CHIEF MINISTER AS ALLOWANCES?
“WE STAYED FROM 1971 to 1979,” he recalls.
Marcos went to Sabah and convinced their father to return home.
Datu Abdilnaser said during their time IN KUDAT, SABAH, rajah muda was a fisherman, a farmer to support his children’s studies.
THERE WAS A TIME THE RAJA MUDA WORKED AS ASSISTANT DISTRICT OFFICER IN KUDAT FOR TWO YEARS, he said."

Later during the early '90's with "PROJECT M" during DR. MAHATHIRS ERA, when TENS OF THOUSANDS OF IC's were given to Illegal Immigrants from the Philippines in order to VOTE FOR BARISAN NASIONAL ( BN ) resultint in the FALL of the Party Bersatu Sabah ( PBS ) State Government in 1994...
THE QUESTION THAT'S BEEN "HAUNTING" THE MINDS OF NEARLY 'EVERY' SABAHAN SINCE THIS INCURSION BEGAN IS...
..."HOW MANY" OF THE RAJA MUDA SULU's ARMY IN LAHAD DATU, 'ALSO' HOLD "MALAYSIAN IC's" or "MYKADS"???
"THIS" many here in Sabah believe "WHY" the POLICE instead of the ARMY were put in the FRONT LINES to DEAL with this incident from the beginning, to try to CAPTURE & ARREST FIRST if possible, to AVOID from the TRUTH ABOUT THE 'ARMED INVADERS' are actually HOLDING "MALAYSIAN IDENTITY CARDS!"
BN's true "FIXED DEPOSITS" in SABAH have now come at the cost of A HIGH INTEREST RATE, which now has JEAPORDIZED THE SECURITY OF OUR NATION & TERRITORIAL 'BORDERS' BEING COMPROMISED!

I have not stopped laughing since reading the Manila Bulletin article on - Sulu "Sultan" holds Malaysian IC!
I wonder if his armed followers in Sabah also have Malaysian ICs too?
Is that why they are claiming Sabah as "home"? And the police cannot find them.... since with IC's they cannot tell who is not Malaysian least of all their Sulu brothers?
If UMNO is any good, it should immediately extradite the sultan from the Philippines and charge him for treason, sedition, rioting, inciting and leading a rebellion, murder .................... and throw the whole law library at him...
Seriously if he is a Malaysian citizen he should have waited and stand for the coming elections and get his 2.7 million Sulu relations to vote for him and he would have conquered Sabah peacefully .....
The Royal Commission of Inquiry confirmed that there are 800,000 Sulus and other Filipinos and Indonesians holding Malaysian ICs.
The other some 2 million have not been accounted for .......
The sultan could even form his own Sabah party with 800K or more instant supporters. Again thanks to UMNO!
These people mostly poor villagers from the Philippines were lured into the promised land Sabah with promises of a better life than what they had at home.
They became caught in UMNO's Machiavellian web of intrigue and domination and were just phantom voters called out whenever UMNO's wanted to win an election. Now they can flit from constituency to constituency by the click on the computer keypad.
The warnings raised in the past about a fifth column being created in Malaysia by none other than UMNO and the possibility of a foreign take over is becoming more than a possibility.
